This week we have a new pre-recorded service available on our YouTube Channel and Church website as we return to online weekly services as covid (delta variant) continues to vex our area.

The title of the service is “The Two Jewels” and takes a double look at the two jewels of Maine as well as the two jewels of transcendentalist spiritual practice. How can these two “two jewels” work together to benefit our state of mind and personal stability in times of widespread upheaval.

We also have a musical selection by the Pritchard Family Band (also known as Out of The Blue) titled Ragamuffin written by Simon.

Since we now have a recorded service released at 10AM on Sundays, the zoom check-in and coffee hour has moved to the 11AM time slot. Please join us.

CHOICE

There isn’t a right answer.

There just isn’t.

The game show

where the bells ring and the points

go up and the confetti falls

because you got the answer

is a lie.

The preacher who would assure you

of how to attain salvation

is making it all up.

The doctor

who knows just how to fix

what ails you will be sure

of something else tomorrow.

Every choice will

wound someone, heal someone,

build a wall and open a conversation.

Things will always happen

that you can’t foresee

.But you have to choose.

It’s all we have—

that little rudder

that we employ in the midst

of all the eddies and rapids,

the current that pulls us

Jim and Dale Holden signed our membership book this week. If you happen to see them in the near future welcome them as our newest members!!( Even during covid if someone would like to join our spiritual community just let me know and we can find a way to make it happen. )

CONCERNS

Concern for the thousands of environmental refugees from Haiti flooding to the US southern border for shelter and assistance.

Covid numbers are trending up around the country and other parts of the world. The virus continues to mutate and the Delta variant is particularly difficult to monitor and combat. Please remain diligent.
