The Cup Cafe is a funky not for profit cafe located in the basement of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Houlton, offering a full line of espresso coffee drinks, specialty teas, homemade treats, free wifi, and a cozy space to gather with friends.

The Cup Cafe is about community and supporting the arts. Along with free wifi, the cafe has comfortable seating and a flat screen TV for viewing movies and media presentations. The space is available to rent for private parties, community classes, or business meetings.

Coffeehouses and cafés have always provided “a third place” (the first and second places being home and the workplace) where people can relax and socialize while getting a decent cup of coffee at the same time. Our aim is to create a space for extended conversations, the exchange of ideas and an appreciation of the arts. 

The Cup Cafe is running an “event-based” schedule; open for our monthly coffeehouse, concerts, book discussions, workshops, craft events, etc…
